Discover your individuality and establish your unique identity.
The founders took the term Daiichi in our school name from the Buddhist principle of ‘daiichi gitai,’ which has also become the fundamental educational philosophy for the Tsuzuki Gakuen. It refers not to ‘number one’ in competition or to ‘the first’ in the ordinary usage, but instead to the part of self which is most true, and therefore superb as well as valuable - that is, the person’s individuality. It also reflects the notion that to foster this special trait, the strength and beauty that we each innately possess, is and should be the function of education. ‘Parama Day’ which is a program unique to this school, is also organized around this idea. Accordingly, the highly acclaimed unique classes attempt to cultivate the potential of each student, also allowing them to attain specialized knowledge in addition to their required skills.
In terms of extra-curricular activities, many school clubs have achieved spectacular international success beginning with our wind orchestra which has twice received the Vienna Award; as well as the yacht club which has successfully competed in world and European level races; and our equestrian club which has won the Japan Korea Invitational.
Furthermore, in tune with the arrival of the 21st century, we have continued to strengthen our international education program by offering daily opportunities for students to communicate with the foreign students who come to us each year from around the world. Moreover, as our society becomes ever more reliant on informational technology, we have updated our multi-media facilities and strengthened our IT programs.
As you endeavor towards the fulfillment of your dreams, you will come to understand the full significance of what it means to be a student at this school, when you come to find your very own special talent that even you yourself were not aware you had before.
